Hey Anglers,

A small group of both ice and summer fisherman have come together to form the HogLog Fishing Club. The concept is to network with local fisherman and be able to find a group to fish with instead of fishing alone. We will be out at Shirley's Bay ice fishing as well as other lakes close to Ottawa.

Feel free to drop me a message.

Unfortunately we do not have a website yet but will hopefully have one up and running this year.

My email is toddrdavies27@gmail.com and let me know when your looking to go fishing. Typically if there isn't a group fishing that weekend I may go tag along lol.

Looking forward to fishing with you!!

A couple of the lads from the HogLog Fishing Club fished the Long Island lock close to manotick on Saturday. The ice was about 8" thick and there were about 4 other huts. The fishing was slow but the boys weren't skunked catching with a few perch each. See below a few funny pics for an overall fun day out on the ice!

Iroquois Canal
Sat Feb 6 2016
-4
ice depth- 8' thick
moon was waning crescent 3% illuminated

4 of the lads from HogLog Fishing Club braved the relatively thin ice and came up with a great day. The water is so clear in the St. Lawrence we were able to see everything including the fish at the bottom follow our bait (see picture below). Lots of laughs and a great warm lunch!!!

3lb pike
2.5lb pike
5 perch

Iroquois canal eh.
I think that might be my buddy's shack right behind you
The water clarity on the St Lawrence is crazy. Fluoro is a must. How long was that jumbo perch on top of the pike?
