Great report, not sure where you fishing in the Ottawa, but kettle island stretch was 42.8 degrees last night. And it was a cool wind at dusk for sure.
The young lad and I tried our hand at some crappie fishing, yet I was not set up just yet to stay put when they lit up the Helix. And did they ever light up the helix! Dang!
I was not able to get on them again after I missed them first pass as the current is pretty healthy right now. Tonight, though I have a plan! Lol

Right on Rod, nice to see some cats being landed this early! I went looking for them the other day around Britannia but it was still a little too cold for the area I was in. I think by next week the bite should be on!!
