Busted Roads, Barely Busted Lakes and a Busted Ankle...

Most of the trout lakes up in the Quebec mountains where I was yesterday morning were still un-fishable due to ice. As usual, lots of springtime road washouts were everywhere too
So this turned into a short and painful shore outing where we fished in small open water sections. As I was descending to one of the lakes that we checked out, I slipped and landed awkwardly, injuring my foot/ankle in the process. That was it for me, and I began the slow and painful limp all the way back to my vehicle. I'm still waiting on the results from the x-rays and hopefully there is no break.
On the bright side, we managed a couple of brookies from shore including a nice 16 incher that I landed. We were tossing small Cleos and Atomic Teasers. I'll probably give it another week or so before heading back up there...
