Morrisburg - Shore Fishing Access

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Morrisburg - Shore Fishing Access

Post by Supernova224 »

So I'm heading out to Morrisburg this weekend, just wondering if anybody knows of any spots with good shore access on the St.Lawrence, even just somewhere I can pull over on the side of the road to fish. Hoping to target some pike.

Thanks.

Hi
If you just go straight down Bank street from Ottawa (Hwy 31) all the way to the St Lawrence at Morrisburg, there are the municipal docks in Morrisburg.
Excellent launch for 2 motor boats at a time and even though it is opening day, it should not be too busy. I cannot remember if there is a fee for parking.
Most people searching for walleyes will be in Cardinal and it should be a zoo.
There is a park on the water at the launch so you can fish anywhere along there.
Also drive along the highway by the water and you may find spots where bridges cross creeks flowing in to the St Lawrence and they may have access so you can fish close to them.
