Shallow Water Walleye

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Shallow Water Walleye

Post by Bass Addict »

Hey Folks

Don't know much about Walleye Fishing, but after reading Big Jims Blog about the Walleye are in the SHALLOW at this time of the year !!

Ding, Ding, Ding = Success

Threw around some thundersticks and perch pattern jerkbaits in the shallow flats..... Depth varied from two to five feet !!

Water temp was 60 degrees in the middle, 61 to 64 in the shallow

A 3.9 and a 2.7 were invited home for supper !!

Happen to catch a glimpse of real life Muppet Great Egret chicks

Fish were caught between 6 and 7 pm with a slight north west ripple on the surface. We simply drifted in to the flats and began casting landing 7 walleye in under a hour or so.
There will be an influx of Great Grey Owls in the winter of 2017

Beautiful walleyes, well done.
All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you.
