Chasing Gatineau River Walleye at Night... From Shore!!!

I returned with Alex to chase the red hot night shallow shore walleye bite of late... It didn't take long before he hooked into a beauty.
And then it was my turn...
It wasn't as good of a keeper night as on the opener but we caught 3 over the slot and it always feels good to release big fish.
A couple keepers came home with us so it was nice to get a bit of everything size wise.
Whenever the eyes are aggressive they will hit anything but when the bite is tough like during our last outing, it's always a good idea to downsize your bait... We usually toss an assortment of 4 inch baits but when the eyes have a case of lockjaw, we'll cut that size in half and throw around a variety of 2 inch baits.
