zone18 to zone 12 opener and in between

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

zone18 to zone 12 opener and in between

Post by Lvace »

The openers for me have been non stop action! From fast and furious pike action to nice bars of gold to even notching a couple marks off the old bucket list! My buddy had his pb pike and walleye and to quote him "I never knew you could fish for walleye this way" He is from about 2 hours north :P We even had a 6lb walleye each double header and both where netted in the same net  Just before that my motor caught fire so atleast there was a golden lining of big EYES! Next day I fix it and run it on the water for about a hour and had a hour to kill so I went back to the spot got some more nice 3 to 4 lb eyes and then my new pb of just shy of 7lb! 8) Lost the biggest pike at the boat i ever saw and called it a day!! So many fish and big smiles all around!! We are truly blessed to have such great spots to fish!!

Here are some of the pics, to many to post all of them!

Wow! Way to go guys. That's some damn fine fish there. So Marty, now that you have everyone curious are you going to divulge what your method was that your bud had never seen before? Or is it a secret lol?
Btw what caused the engine fire? Fuel leak?

Cheers

Great fishin' Marty! One of the only times I enjoyed fishing Walleyes on the Ottawa was a shallow running crank bait bite about 8 years ago. You got em dialed in!

I think RJ answered that but the back ground of my pics give it away! One of the cylinders stopped getting fuel and when it died I went to start it not knowing and the combustion ignited all the fuel ..thank god for fire extinguishers!

You've been a busy fella.

Those are some dandy walleye, and the pike look above average as well. Keep on slayin dude, I enjoyed this report.

Not sure about the hardware in buddie's chest though...
