Andrew Haydon park fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lots of people have. Look on Google Maps satellite image, you will see a stone jutty thing that goes out quite far into the river. The water is crazy shallow on the west side until you are out about 70% of the way. It is also shallow on the east side, but it is more of a basin structure there.

Fish:
West side shallow - Rockbass, sunfish, perch (occasionally)
East side in the bowl - Small catfish
End - Larger cats, occasional walleye.

Be aware of people doing wind-sports.

The creeks can also be productive in spring, but today are pretty much dry.
