Andrew Haydon park fishing
Has anyone fished from shore at andrew haydon park? Going there on sunday. Any reply is great.
Re: Andrew Haydon park fishing
Lots of people have. Look on Google Maps satellite image, you will see a stone jutty thing that goes out quite far into the river. The water is crazy shallow on the west side until you are out about 70% of the way. It is also shallow on the east side, but it is more of a basin structure there.
Fish:
West side shallow - Rockbass, sunfish, perch (occasionally)
East side in the bowl - Small catfish
End - Larger cats, occasional walleye.
Be aware of people doing wind-sports.
The creeks can also be productive in spring, but today are pretty much dry.

At this time of year that spot is basically 6 inches deep.
