Stoplight Spoon for Lake Trout

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Stoplight Spoon for Lake Trout

Post by zippyfx »

HI All,

Maybe some of you old timers may remember this lure..... My brother in law says the old guys (in there 80s) swear by a green, yellow and red spoon they cal the stop light lure. It's a small spoon with a bit of wave; They swear by the colours and the action.

Not sure if it a locally manufactured special or not; These guys fish at a hunt camp near renfrew; Has anyone here heard of it?

Thanks!

Not sure.
I will be keeping my eye on this thread... old standby lure are always worth a look.

A quick googled search brought up this one called the traffic light colour Image

Which looks good. Those colour combos are very perch like. I use the similar one in the Mepps Syclops. FT (firetiger)
