Laker depth **update with pic**

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I don't know about your lake but I am getting them out of Muskrat at 55 to 60 ft.

Congrats on your first Lake Trout! Were you using gang trolls? Or just straight up lures? I've only really had success Laker fishing with my lead core with Williams's wobblers and a few select rapalas... I haven't had any success with my downrigger unfortunately....

In chatting with the trollers that pass me while on BR some of them are fishing 80 to 90 feet down with success.

On the jig we are still getting them all over the column, this one hit 40 feet down over 105 this week.

I have had very little success jigging for Lakers on Big Rideau. I know it is my setup and inexperience .. also the fact that I have yet to figure out how to get my fishfinder to work well in "jigging mode".
I should get my vexilar out!!

Congratulations on your first laker! I remember my first one last summer on big Rideau. Big moment. Tasty too.
