Fish Ingesting Hard Cranks

Post by TheMaverick »

She was a scorcher yesterday at 40+, then again, no ---- given when it comes to fishing.
Plan was to hit the water with RiverMonster.
Wasn’t expecting numbers, but quality was definitely there.

Water temps reaching 84 definitely got them sluggish.
I tend to go with big profile lures, and slow down my retrieve, that ticket paid off.
Even though I didn’t land what would have been close to a PB (she got unhooked boat side) it’s gratifying to see a game plan produce.
Till we meet again you gorgeous fat slob!

P.S. No plastics were thrown overboard in the making of this report.

Nice report, I'd like to hear more about this potentially NEW PB that got unbuttoned at the boat.

You know those subtle blow ups, thinking she’s a dink you try and rush her in….then she jumps, once, twice, your heart skips a beat, and you back off to let her do her thang.

She swam parallel boat side, from the back to the front, skin hooked with only one treble, and then made that illusive turn.
Couldn’t swing my rod fast enough to keep pressure.

Just one of those mishaps.
Big Ole Largie!

Nice fish! But you're missing the Tapout shirt to match the skull buff mask! It's rare to see the two apart from eachother!

 UV buffs, don't you wear one?
I also wear the sleeves, I like to dip them in the water on hot days.

Nice fish.....
But why wear a UV buff and sleeves, yet leave that forehead exposed:-) J.K.
I get it, chances are that photo was while under way, dont wanna lose the lid...but I have to admit, usually those facemasks are accompanied by a TapOut shirt, or some sort of Ed Hardy clothing.
No judging... Really, I have a gawdy old ball cap that has a puffed out musky print, that I wear every fall for luck ;-) And any pictures on the site are welcomed and awesome.
I hope you get a 6+ pounder this fall...
