Bobs lake biggie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Yes it does, I was wondering when someone was going to call me on that. The lip is about an inch to the left of the 1.
Not sure if you have to close their mouth when you measure them, I did weigh it though. I was really more interested in getting it back in the water
so it can produce more of the same. Pretty big fish and my PB.

One inch from the 1 puts it at 0, which is where you should start your measurement. Just saying!!!

Ya, I know.
I didn't notice it until the fish was back in the water.

That's a heck of a nice LM.
A fish that size is likely 20+ years old at this latitude. Incredible.

I agree, my previous best on the lake was 6lbs. This one was a monster. I caught him in a place that you would never think would hold a fish that size. Totally freaked me out. I caught him wacky with a #2 octopus hook. When I went to remove the hook only the barb was holding on at the roof of his mouth. It was like pulling in a jumping bucket of water.

Biggest Largemouth I've ever laid eyes on was from Bob's about 30 years ago. It was in the bottom of one of those big Coke carry coolers and it was touching all 4 sides. It was a 9 lber all day long. 30 years later I can still remember the fella lifting the lid to show it to me. Crazy.

That's a goodun ya got fer sure!

Great catch. We had a cottage on crow lake (runs into bobs). Those two lakes have some of the best fishing around. Pick your poison Bass, walleye, pike, trout, catfish and whitefish
