Humpday gold

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Humpday gold

Post by Netman »

Found myself a little nugget of gold this evening. Caught it on a Deep tail dancer 30 footer. Olive perch pattern

Congrats on the nice walleye. They must be soon going on that fall bite by the looks of it. Still a floatilla of weeds coming down the river and hard to pull cranks just yet though

When does the "floatilla" normally start to die down.Trolling these days is nearly impossible.

After a quick google search I found an article about keeping weeds off your line while trolling for musky. I'm sure it would work for walleye too

The mates of weeds are just to big for anything to work right now and there are bunches of twisted weeds 6 ft long and all through the water. I run a weight system I make up that will catch small weeds but with these big mates floating down the river it just fowles everything up the puts it to the surface right now. Hope for some cool weather and the water to clean up for some plug pulling in the evenings.

Beauty right there! That spot along with all good shore spots are heating up right now but they will be on fire in the very near future... Looking forward to hopefully another great fall season from shore...
