Laker Closer and a Dream day on the Larry.....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Laker Closer and a Dream day on the Larry.....

Post by RJ »

With Lakers closing on the 8th it gives time to look back and reflect on it a bit. The middle season was great, the back end got tough. The bait seemed to migrate waaaay earlier than normal so it made it a battle most trips but we went at it.

Our second video Birdee and I put together. VERY ambitious with this one as we had about 3 hours on a crazy busy Long weekend afternoon to get it done. Hope you like it, comments welcome as always!

Earlier this week I had two fellas from Jim Tubman motors book me for the day on the St. Lawrence. Wowzers. Did I think when we pushed the Lund off the dock we'd have our best 5 Smallies go right around 26 lbs? No. But it happened.

Pretty much in Musky and Smallie mode til ice up....very limited dates left if anyone is looking to book a trip soon.

Great stuff RJ, I like the video, especially the fact that you show how fishing really is... Not every day will be great and the unpredictable nature of this sport is what keeps us coming back for more.

RJ, Awesome SMB fishing on the Larry. Will big rideau SMB fishing be also active after temperature is cool? May I ask which body of Larry river generate those big SMB and how deep I should target it since I only want to tow my boat either to Morrisburg or Cardinal ? Thanks.

Absolutely the BR Smallies are starting to get rockin'. The FLW event last weekend was won with Smallies.

The river is loaded with Smallies, all stretches have em including both places you plan to launch. I was fishing between 18 and 30 fow.
