Fish-Hawk friends always come through!!

I have been really down since I returned from the ocean. Turns out that my shoulder injury is bad enough that only surgery will fix it and I am now in the lovely "suffer and take drugs" while you wait queue. Basically, wiped out my fishing plans with my new canoe and even shore fishing is taking it's toll so I have not done much fishing at all.
To the point: "scarkner" learned of my misery and hooked up a boat trip for me with "David" on Sunday. Well that was a bust since i could not go ( the meds have been eating a gaping hole in my stomach). Well, he did not give up on me that easily and he arranged a half day this am.
Well, I guess in different times I would say the trip was a little light on fish although we did catch two good sized smallmouth and I caught a really large and ornery catfish but it was HEAVEN for me.

Catfish below was a lot bigger than it looked in the photo... Really fat, wide fish... guess I should have taken a weight.
Note: While scarkner was netting my cat a fish pulled his rod into the river! I guess i really owe him!
