Big Jim,Big Sand,Big Smallies..and little 24/7

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Big Jim,Big Sand,Big Smallies..and little 24/7

Post by Bass Addict »

Let the good times roll....a few years ago at this time of the year we were looking for tips on how to find Small mouth Bass.

The one and only Big Jim stepped up to the podium and said " look for sand you fools " so we did and hit paydirt ever since

Well its that time of the year again.... 8)

Shallow as 2 feet... Deep as ten or so.they tend to cruise in and out.

Very cool tip!

Are we talking large sand flats or will pockets do?

WOW! nice smallies! drop shot or other tactic? Bait of choice?

Hoping to get a similar stubborn smallie that has eluded me for weeks within urban Ottawa.
4-6 FOW, Sandy bottom, 3 point rock formation , some weeds on the edge of the last rock.Won't touch plastic worms, spat out 2 big O'S, Swam away from jigs.
Any suggestions would be welcome!
