Algonquin park

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Algonquin park

Post by kevinv »

I have not been up there in about 5 years. We will be staying in Barry's bay. Anyway. We are looking at a spring canoe trip, and hope to get some fishing done at the same time. When is the best spring fishing in the park? Last canoe trip i did was on mew lake, and we did not fish it, but the ones that were, were not to lucky.

Up by madawaska, there is the Shall lake access. Ryan lake has produced splake for me in the past and is a nice trip in. Just about anywhere in the park is worth it, but the deeper you go, the better the fishing.
I have never been, but O'Neill lake has good fishing, but I am unsure of access.
