Constance Lake Ice Fishing

Has anyone checked out the ice at Constance Lake recently? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to ice fishing (I've only been out to Shirley's bay a few times for hardwater), so I'm just looking for a few pointers on when everything usually freezes up!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I would say that Constance is the very first safe ice in our area. If Shirleys has 5" of ice now you should be fine on Constance, although there may be more snow cover as it's more protected than Shirleys.

Thanks Smitty! Went out a couple days ago, and there was enough ice to stand on!
