bay of quinte

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I wanted to venture out there last year but the weather was way less than cooperative. Hopefully there is a good February ahead of us. Good luck

Ice conditions range from very good, to not safe at all. It depends where on the bay you are fishing. Areas with current are going to be very sketchy after this week. It has been raining and freezing raining all day, and is not supposed to quit until midnight. The current will really be flowing and destroying the ice from underneath.

Regardless of how good or bad the ice is according to other's, it is very important to check the ice as you go and take all safety precautions. The ice can go from 5" to 1" in a matter of 10 feet.

You may be better of asking closer the the weekend as today and the next 3 days are really going to affect the ice.

I was there Monday and Tuesday.

8" of ice where we were fishing and open water 100 ' away. It'll be thinner with this rain and warm temps.

Always be safe.

They eat jigged lures and minnows.
