I am NOT hosting or organizing - but I do plan on donating a few small prizes. Just sharing this for those that don't know about it.

It's a cash derby with cash prizes dependent on attendance. There will also be prizes.
I will update this post as I find out new info. Thanks for posting this. It looks like it's going to be a good event.

So who is putting this on? If it expects to have a good turnout it would be a good idea to talk to Serge about showing up with minnows.

I advise whoever is hosting to contact Cabela's in Kanata. They typically love this kind of thing and are willing to kick in small prizes or some cash. I should be out depending on work as well.

His name is johnie. He is getting a package from both sail and cabelas. There are other smaller companies kicking in. And big Jim is donating too I hear. Plus all cash used to buy in will be devided up in to the prizes. The more attendance the bigger the cash prizes. I'm in talks with johnie personally. Im helping by promoting the event on 613 Ice Fushing(FB). We are also donating stickers and a bag of tackle to the event. We also have over 20 members from 613IceFishing committed. And anothe 30-40 maybes. With another 400+ invites it should be a pretty good showing.

Serge will be notified of the event. But in order for him to sell at an event it would have to be on his permit to sell. Not sure if he has it as his second location. And it's not worth buying s second permit for a small event.

Hey Guy's just wanted to send a shout out to the guy's from 613 fishing for putting on a great fishing derby yesterday at Shirley's Bay. They handed out some great cash prizes and some terrific giveaways to registrants.

Let's do it again next year!!!
