Casting Teasers In The Snow For Bows!!!
It was cold, windy, and snowy this morning up in the mountains but this beautiful 20 inch rainbow was well worth it. I was casting towards shore in the sticks when she inhaled a pink 1/16oz Atomic Teaser.

Very nice.
Always neat to see your early season excursions paying off.

That's a beauty catch. Way to go. Good picture too. I also like that you provided the length and technique, and with so many photos taken so close anymore it gives me a better appreciation of your catch.
As for those teasers, not being lead how do they compare in action to a regular tube jig? Tks.
Cheers

Thanks guys!
As for the Teasers, they are essentially a 2 inch tube with the addition of a power worm as a tail. They work great while casting and twitching every so often to make the lure rise and then dart out a bit. Most fish will hit when the bait is falling. I've been using Atomic Teasers and assembling my own ''Teasers'' for a few years now. This bait will literally catch every fish that swims in fresh water. I've learned over the years that using smaller baits will catch you tons of fish, often big ones too.
Thanks Smitty, I also appreciate when others provide details about the actual size of their catch, technique and lure used. Not very many fishermen like to share techniques and lures of choice and I was like that before but I've changed my ways over the last few years. Nowadays I feel like I'm just showing off if I post a nice fish pic without providing any useful information about how I got the job done. I'll be 40 years old next year so maybe I'm finally growing up.smitty55 wrote:That's a beauty catch. Way to go. Good picture too.
