Laker action is hot hot hot

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Laker action is hot hot hot

Post by steve_rauch »

Scored a last minute day off today and decided to hit the old lake trout stomping grounds. Things were looking good as I was jigging and 3 drops and 2 fish. Spent the morning checking areas I don't normally fish. Needless to say I found some nice fish. Put 10 in the boat and lost a few...
Odd day tho as I caught 3 on the drop and then had 3 hit up around 15 fow after chasing it from 90 fow.
Another solid day...

What lures were you using and what time when laker took the bait best? Mono or carbon line? Thanks.
