Open Seat Friday, July 7th... Lake Trout & Bass

Fishing on Friday, July 7th.... Open seat in the boat.
I am planning on doing a bit of fishing on Friday morning, either on Big Rideau Lake or Charleston Lake. The plan is to fish for lake trout for a few hours (so I can see how my kicker motor is running and make sure my electric downriggers are working for my salmon fishing trip coming up) and then do a bit of bass fishing to end the day.
Anyone wanting to join me? I have all required fishing gear if needed. Email is best

I see in your signature that you are the fishing team coach at Athens high school are you a teacher there or do you volunteer for that? Where do the kids fish for that? I am looking to gain some more information if possible.

The answer to your question is both... I teach science at Athens District High School and one of my volunteer extra-curricular activities is I started and run a school fishing team/club.

A big thanks to Shane aka topten14 for joining me on Big Rideau today to try our luck for a few lakers and test out my kicker motor and electric riggers. First time I have fished Big Rideau for lake trout in at least 4 or 5 years. We marked a decent amount of fish and bait, but could only get 1 laker to cooperate and eat what we were offering. Oh well a day in the boat is better than a day on the shore.
