3 nice bass - she is hooked now

Hit the rideau river on Thursday (take advantage of the weather when we can!). Cruised around for a while then I decided to hit a couple weed lines to try my luck... given I made my daughter and wife leave their bananas in the truck to avoid a skunk of a day i figured i better at least try..."You're insane!" my wife said. "bananas are not the reason you got skunked the last time we went out" Well...we will just see about that!
Found some really green healthy weeds near a drop off and started tossing weightless wacky senkos. I have to say I'm really liking the "set the hook" brand of stick baits i picked up at paddletales. They STINK to high heaven - like you have a sweaty pizza cook in the boat (Garlic, garlic and more garlic with an undertone of armpit) and they are so soft they need very little input for a nice subtle action... wasn't long before i had two nice bass in the boat. First fish was on the first cast and the second just a few casts later.
My daughter saw my two fish and not to be outdone threw a bright pink (go figure) senko under her bobber on the tinkerbell rod and blam! She landed that nice bass. After it jumped completely out of the water twice she was hooked on bass. Totally blew her mind. She now has totally given up on Panfish and wants bass and "anything with teeth". Its time for a bigger rod though tinkerbell almost met her match.
All in all a great day on the water
