Out-splaked by a little girl

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Out-splaked by a little girl

Post by Nyarlathotep »

Went with some family to a stocked lake near Combermere for a short shore fishing session on Thanksgiving Sunday morning. We caught 3 splake during the hour we were there by casting 1/3 oz Little Cleo rainbow trout pattern spoons baited with bits of cut minnow, and had at least a dozen strikes and follows. My niece doubled my catch; my fancy enthusiast gear was no match for her primitive 1980's era spincasting combo!
