Warning

Postby smitty55 » Wed Nov 08, 2017 8:05 pm

Time to remind everyone again to be extremely careful fishing at the headpond. Those lowlife thieves are still at it at both launches. My neighbour was guiding there today and had his truck broken into and everything stolen. This has been going on for years and the cops know about it but it seems like they can't be bothered to do anything about it, probably to busy giving out tickets for jay walking.

Cheers

I keep reading warnings about staying away from the headpond. There never is a mention of where this area or lake is? Where exactly do I need to stay away from? Thanks.

Madawaska River actually.

Arnprior area up river from the dam. The launch is in behind the airport get there by going past the Antrim truck stop and around the airport.

Claybank is the other launch a little further upstream on the Madawaska.
