Ice Fishermen Out And About This Morning

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ice Fishermen Out And About This Morning

Post by Walleye'm Fishing »

Not going to mention where exactly because I don't want to encourage anyone... But it was on the Ottawa river. I couldn't believe my eyes at first. Be careful out there guys and gals.

How about the race to be first to cross the river on a snowmobile in Arnprior?

the sad thing about this is the attitude people have regarding the conditions, was told many times that people pay for their licence which gives them the privilege to fish during open seasons which i am in total agreement with, problem the fishing licence does not give you common sense. now here is where i have MAJOR issues with common sense challenged anglers,
when you fall thru the ice which was your decision and you take full responsibility for even tho your dead, your family did not chose your death and neither did the 1st respondents who have to risk their lives to retrieve your carcass, they do not have a choice, they cannot take their kids to hockey because they have to work late not by choice again
so the common sense challenged, rightfully legal fisher people are totally selfish ice-holes who will preach "it's their right" and "it's their choice" forcing us as tax payers and first responders time to "take care" of them
my apologies to every, or any i my have insulted
this is such an easy thing to prevent but is as common as trumps stupidity
again my apologies

No safe ice this weekend. Stay off of all back lakes near Calabogie. Especially ones containing splake. This freezing cold weather won't help with the ice.
