Ice Fishing With Aussies

Hey guys, I have a bunch of Aussie mates that are keen to go ice fishing and want me to take them/show them how, problem is... I know nothing about ice fishing.

I was hoping some of you wonderful folks could point me in the right direction to get started. I don't have any gear or idea where to go or start. They are interested in going somewhere and cutting a whole in the ice ourselves but I don't think they'll survive without a decent shelter which we don't have (they only made it to the 2nd intermission at the outdoor 67s game). Are there any good places to get a decent ice fishing experience that won't give these Aussies hypothermia and will get us some fish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Rent a hut and get a guide. If you have ne gear/equipment - It's probably the cheaper way to go and your chances of catching fish will increase dramatically. There's several folks the guide who are members on this board. ......
