ICE......it WAS nice.....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

St Lawrence is wide open. Occasional isolated 6" thick ice floes drifting along shore in the current.
Anyone interested in firing up their boat early this year, still have a month left for late season / pre-spawn pike.

Did see some massive chunks of ice which have already migrated down river over the wind dam at Appleton
I'm talking blocks of 15 ft x 25 ft about 18 in. thick.
If this stuff dams up could cause very severe flooding.
I think the current which is now moving pretty quick will eat the ice up rapidly.
These mild temps aren't helping the ice stay around and warming up the water, a degree at a time.
Should be some late season walleye to be captured out of cold water.
Hey Bri! How's the boat fishing been?
