Minn Kota Terrova or Ulterra?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Minn Kota Terrova or Ulterra?

Post by Wallyboss »

Is the difference in price worth it to get the Ulterra instead of the Terrova?

That depends on how badly you have to have a motor that self trims and auto stow/deploy.

Everything else is the same IMO.

I can tell you the Ulterra in the real deal...once you have it and then you get in a boat that doesn't you hate not having it

I have had both and currently running an Ulterra which is great (love the stow, deploy, and trim at the push of a button). Couple things to consider... it is a lot tougher to mount an external transducer on the Ulterra.... also if you run out of juice or it jams on you.... you have to manually deploy it and then take it in to get it fixed. Can't comment on the new BT versions though.

Both great trolling motors... you won't be disappointed with either choice.
