I know that sounds terrible..
Spent my last day on the ice chasing Jumbos. Had a great couple hours picking away to get a great limit for the freezer.
Next couple weekends I'll be at various events and hope to bump into some of you.
Next Saturday, Pirate Cove Marina's Open House from 11 til 3.
Sunday, BaitCasters Annual Sale from noon til 2.
Following weekend I'll be at SAIL both days for their sale.
Come on out and chat fishin', this weather has us all dickered!

Hey Rj,
Nice Perch !!
Would you mind sharing a little details on the depth that you found those guys and if they were going after more aggressive presentations or finesse style ? I might get a chance to head north over the next few days where ice is still in abundance and since walleye season is closed might go looking for some perch.
Thanks

Wow ,some nice tasty girls there RJ ,how far north did you had to go to find some safe ice.

This was on the St. Lawrence less than weeks ago. You'll notice the dot in the background, that's a boat. I was 50 yards from open water yet standing on 14 inches of ice.Wally wrote:Wow ,some nice tasty girls there RJ ,how far north did you had to go to find some safe ice.
Super shallow man! These fish are in tight to spawn. These were actually hiding under the remaining ice, the guys fishing the outside edge weren't getting them but we caught near 100 in a short amount of time.FireFox wrote:Hey Rj,
