Mississippi walleye

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Mississippi walleye

Post by Cdnfisher »

Anyone out on the Mississipp? Talked to a few guys last weekend but nobody had been having any luck. Was wondering if the spring is better in the big lake or up at the other end? :?

With the late spawn I think the Walleye are just starting to transition away from spawning grounds. Buddy of mine did OK with plenty of smaller ones and good Pike around Innisville real early Saturday morning. He was off the water by 10:30.

this time of year, especially with a cold spring, the walleye will be very shallow

I haven't been on the lake this year but I usually find them in < 8 feet in May
