A quick question about the Castor River

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I think what you've heard bout the Castor is correct. I've caught multiple species myself.
The ones I've caught are carp, various suckers, crappie, sm bass, perch, sunfish, catfish, drum, and even the odd pike.
Hope that helps.

Minnow species are counted in that number. There are a lot of fish species in the Castor. I've caught pike, walleye, bass (mostly largemouths ), carp, catfish, bullheads, I've caught my only chain pickerel in the Castor(west of Russell), pretty much every panfish can be caught in there.
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!
