First Trout

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

First Trout

Post by Bigcvin »

I don't normally post, but enjoy reading everyone's threads. I thought I would share my first trout catch which was on my bucket list for a few years now. We nailed 9 splake and a pike in just under 4 hours. I can't wait to get out again.

Well done! I think those would've been stocked back in 2018, judging by their size.

Way to go. I bet there's some happy Pike in that lake. Kinda strange to see one in a trout lake for that matter. I would consider letting the ministry know, specially if it's no listed as a species online.

Cheers

My buddy said it was odd that we caught the pike, but fishonline says there's lots of different species in there.
