Slush everywhere?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Slush everywhere?

Post by levitch »

Hey all

I went out to Lemke lake today and it was super slushy and too wet to fish enjoyably.
I was thinking of going out tomorrow (maybe Shirleys Bay). But I wanted to check with folks to see if they also encountered slush and water where they were.

What are the conditions where you are?

Welcome to Slushfest 2021. Looking at long term forecast we may never get out of it. Times like these I LOVE that fact I no longer have a permanent hut.

Can confirm that Constance Lake was super slushy, even the skidoos were having a hard time.

Sherleys was a mess yesterday. Hiked out 2/3 of a km out with soaking wet boots. Seemed at some spots 8-10” of water on top of the ice. Stomped down a good area for our hut and inside after 30min of packing snow was pretty solid
