Opening Day on St Lawrence

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Opening Day on St Lawrence

Post by gatekeeper »

Wondering if there are any reports from opening weekend at Cardinal or Iroquois? Due to health issues I'm shore bound and would like to live vicariously thru reports. Saw 30+ boats at Cardinal Legion and dozen or so in front of Golf course in Iroquois. Water is DOWN to summer like conditions on "The Larry" already. WAY different then last few flooded seasons! Thanks in advance.

I was out on Sunday for a few hours in Cardinal.... fishing generally seemed slow, we trolled outside the packs of boats jigging for awhile and then went and fished some structure away from the crowds but my daughter and I only managed to catch some fat smallmouth bass, no wallaye.

Hi,

Could someone recommend a walleye fishing guide at the St.Lawrence? Preferably near Cardinal or Prescott or Brockville.

Many thanks.

Checked out Cardinal yesterday. 6 trailers total.3 guys fishing usual walleye spot. Didn't see any action in my 1/2 hour sit. Saw dozen boats below international bridge by physic on 'merican side. Wonder if Walleye are "short hopping" like migrating geese are anymore??Lol
