Otter Lake - Pike or Walleye?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Otter Lake - Pike or Walleye?

Post by Snorky »

New member here. Heading to Otter Lake on Sunday. Hoping to get into some pike or walleye, but haven't fished there before. Hoping to get some eaters. Should I plan to target crappie instead? Thanks.

Sorry, guess I should have been clear about which Otter Lake. It's the one just south of Smiths Falls along Highway 15.

Thanks for the feedback. We targeted pike, but were catching bass. I switched to a white chatterbait on lighter gear (no leader) and immediately got bit off by a decent pike. Doh!
