New owner for Fish-Hawk

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

New owner for Fish-Hawk

Post by smitty55 »

Tks to RJ and Luke for keeping this forum alive over the years. I just saw Jim Wilson's post on 613Fishing and I figured I'd post it here for the members to see. Cheers guys.

"Hello Fish-Hawk followers, I am Jim Wilson, a father, teacher, and a long time F-H member since 2002. Over the years I have met lots of great people through Fish-Hawk.net, learned a thing or two to improve my fishing and shared some great fishing adventures.
Fish-Hawk.net has been a great resource for fishing information for 20 years, and even though the Internet and social media has changed a lot since Fish-Hawk.Net started many years ago, it is still a valuable resource for new and experienced anglers alike.
Mike L (Fish-hawk), Rob A (Bobber) and then RJ and Luke have done a great job keeping Fish-Hawk.net going for all these years and as a long time Fish-Hawker I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of them.
As of today, I am starting the journey to continue the legacy of Fish-Hawk.net and hope to continue the tradition of Fish-Hawk.Net being the “Go to Spot” for fishing information for Eastern Ontario and beyond.
I am not computer genius, so I am sure there will be many bumps in the road as learn the “ins and outs of the website and forum, so please bear with me. Over the next few months, I plan to add some new features, so I encourage everyone if you have not dropped by the website lately please check it out and spread the word Fish-Hawk.Net is still going strong."

Good luck JIm. Not sure if I could help much but the offer is there, I'm a good learner. Cheers

I will be looking for a few moderators to help keep an eye on the site and help remove spam. I am still learning the "ins and outs" of everything so not even sure yet what I need help with. lol

Thanks Haulin Bass,

I will be keeping the tournament calendar on the site, but since we are well into the tournament season and I have lots of things I want to do, my goal will be to update the Tournament Calendar over the winter so it will be up to date for the 2022 fishing tournament season.
