Hi Guys ... I want to take my grandson out fishing and I was wondering if anyone has information on the launch in Manotick at the Aquatic Club.
Is it for club members only or can you pay to launch?
Are their any other launches (Free/Pay) in the Ottawa South Area?
I would prefer something close to where he lives so that we can spend more time fishing and less time traveling.

Kars has a pretty good launch no charge i believe

Not sure about free launches around Manotick but there are two launches close by in Kars that are free as far as I know. Haven't been this year though.
There is one behind the Kars Community Recreation Centre, you actually launch in Steven's creek. Ramp is sand/gravel, works fine for small boats, not the greatest but it gets the job done. Note that the creek is really shallow.
The other one is the 'actual' Kars launch located at the end of Old Wellington Street. Ramp is nice, only downside is that you need to park all the way down to the Recreation Centre off the main road.
