Last Day of Summer Vacation!!!

Well yesterday was my last day of my summer vacation so hit Lake O again, but this time in search of big gators. Our plan was to trolling deep diving crankbaits off of inline planer boards. After a couple hours of not marking much on the sonar and only some pesky smallmouth bass to show for our efforts, we decided to pull up our trolling gear and make run to a new spot.

After a not so quick drive out to our new spot, in a pretty decent walleye chop we set up out trolling gear again. We had never fished this spot before, so we were not sure what to expect, we immediately started to mark some fish and after a few adjustments in speed, depth and lure choice we started getting some fish. No pike but a few nice walleye ended up visiting the boat.... not a bad Plan B!!!!

I was back to work today.... sitting in front of a computer.... and plan my next fishing trip. :D
