Bait Shops

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks smitty I was looking online for that map earlier.

If anyone knows of any more shops not on the map or if you have been to any of the this year and can confirm they are still selling live bait, please post on the thread and I will try and put together a current Bait shop list.

I know Big Rideau Tackle, newly opened in Smiths Falls should be carrying minnows soon.

What would be really cool, if someone had the time and knowledge to do an inlay with the newly formed BMZ's. Definatly not me :D :D

They do relate directly to already established FMZs so it's not hard to figure out.

I actually contacted the MNR a couple weeks ago and suggested they list all the bait shops on their site. They're already receiving money from the registered bait shops, have their addresses, have the information about which bmz they're selling bait for, etc. It would take little effort for them to post that information online. This will give advertising for these guys, and help us follow the rules, and contribute to the lesser known shops.

They responded saying "we'll review this suggestion".
