Lower Rideau lake

Post by Chasenic »

Decided to hit lower Rideau lake this weekend. Glad to be able too drive the car out. Much nicer than walking. Starting Saturday off with a surprise pike well fishing for Pan fish.

Later the sunfish and crappie came in big schools. Got about 30+ sunfish and maybe 6 crappie. The northland eyeball jig with a piece of worm was the key to success.

Decied to go back again on Sunday and the conditions had switched completely because of the weather. Was greeted with tons of top water and slush. Wasn’t able to find any fish besides some out of season bass that went right back down the hole.
