It was lake trout opener today in my area, but no fishing today...
today it was a morning of volunteering to bait some hooks, unhook some fish, keep tally of fish the kids caught and just enjoy watching kids being kids having fun catching fish.
Today was the 16th Annual Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Fishing Tournament at Lower Reach Park in Smiths Falls.... lots of kids... 360+ fish caught, lots of food, trophies, lots of prizes and lots of smiles.... you cannot ask for much more than that!!!
A big thank you and congratulations to Peter Larmand and crew for putting on an awesome event, I was very happy to help out, and meet some great fellow anglers and some great families and kids.
Looking forward to next year!
