The other night on the harvest moon, I went out with the electric and silently toured my bay. A great way to unwind, so quiet. It started slow, but then found a spot where the topwater bite was insane, almost every cast, you'd get a blow up or a hook-up, it was wild. Got five, lost many more as they blew up on my lure... So much fun to see a big bass hit topwater (even when it misses).
Best hr of fishing I've had in a while. Non-stop. All on Pop-Rs. When I mentioned to a friend, he said he got 5 in less than an hour, so I'm thinking the moon effect. Took many pics of fish and broadcast them to friends in real time ... here is one of the better ones.
Anyone else notice the good fishing around the Harvest moon ?
