Flowage walleye

Post by Chasenic »

This weekends search for fish I hit a somewhat local lake in hopes of smallmouth and walleye.

I start with fishing where the river flows into the lake. Land a few smaller smallmouth with 1 decent one mixed in.

Next I decide to do some trolling so my girlfriend is with me so 2 lines in the water it is. I start with what I believe is a older rapala dt 10. Right off the bat small smallie. Line gets back in and not long after I get my first walleye.

I troll until dark catching a few small smallmouth and a couple small walleye. Lost 1 nice fish that a have a feeling was a nice walleye. All coming on the same rapala crank well no others would get hit.

This stretch of beautiful autumn weather has been making it very pleasant to get out !

I'm hoping to get out well into December down on Quinte...the big girls should be waiting. It's been a late start down there so far..

Nice hoping to get out BOQ this fall if not definitely on the ice. The old 2 stroke Johnston doesn’t like the really cold weather as much.

Quinte has been a late start the last few years. Ten years ago end of October we would do very well catching the migratory walleye coming in. Now I don’t even think about Quinte until mid-November at the earliest. I figure 2 weeks and Quinte should be decent.
