Quebec stocking list question

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Quebec stocking list question

Post by Birchbark »

Hi all,

I'm a relatively novice catch-and-release fisherman in the Outaouais. I've been trying to get my hands on a stocking list for years with no avail. If someone would be so kind as to PM me how I could get access to the list/map it would make my year.

Thanks so much!

I'd start with the Quebec ministry.

I’m looking into fishing in the outaouais as well. My parents recently bought a cottage on Lac Simon and it’ll be a good base for me to explore new lakes. So far I’ve found it very hard to find good info on stocking. I’ll keep searching as weel and report back if I find one

Hi, I have seen this type of post before so I will reply.
In the past I have tried to secure stocking lists for Quebec lakes.
The thing to do is contact the biologist in the area you are researching.
He or she should have a made list of the lakes and what they contain.
Quebec stock very few lakes unless the owner associations will pay for it.
start here: https://mffp.gouv.qc.ca/
Best of luck.
