We went on Saturday evening to try on Mississippi. It was a windy day but after 6 PM it started to calm down. The current on the river near the bridge (Innisville) was quite strong. We managed to catch only one keeper length sauger.
On Sunday we spent evening hours on White lake. We caught a few decent size perch, one small pike, no walleye. Had to leave earlier than we wanted because the black flies became unbearable.
How was your walleye opening?
