Canadian Fishing Tour - Eastern Ontario Bass Association

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Canadian Fishing Tour - Eastern Ontario Bass Association

Post by Seaweed »

Cool

The Canadian Fishing Tour has introduced an eastern qualifer tournament series. Although they claim to be in their second year of existance this is the first time I have seen any hard evidence of their existence.

Check out the new web site

http://216.205.151.70/eoba/Index.asp

No concrete info though concerning fees or rules and regs but the dates are there and they are:

2005 Schedule
June 26, 2005 Kingston on Lake Ontario $200.00
July 10, 2005 Rideau Ferry on Big Rideau $200.00
July 24, 2005 Charleston Lake $200.00
August 14, 2005 Dog Lake, Seeleys Bay $200.00
Plus GST

***** Notice they have changed the venue for their tournaments and eleminated the Ottawa River*****

*****Each tournament is now only $200 dollars down $50*****

Seaweed,

As Ben said they were around last year and he was right about the series being individual events, If you are lucky enough to qualify you can go on to fish at the Provincial Championship against some of the best from around Ontario. I would imagine the rule would be the same as the CFT Mercury One day Tournament Series. A freind andI fished the The Mercury Series last year and learned a lot and we did end up making the Classic It was a Blast.

Hey Seaweed here is some info.
CFT EOBA

Here are some particulars to the new format of this club.
Cost will be $ 275 per tournament. (big fish is included and there is a
prize of $ 300 awarded to a team not in the top 12.)
The dates are (all Sundays)
June 26th Kingston
July 10 Big Rideau
July 24 Rideau River Kemptville
Aug 14th Rockland

$ 125 for a first year member which get you a tournament shirt, duffle
bag a of promotional products worth more that $ 125

$ 65 for returning members

For any individual tournament you must register the Tuesday noon before
thatevent

For the series, to be eligible to fish in the Provincial title for a $
45 000 Triton approx. I think it is a 196 you must register by May 1,2005
and be paid in full.

To be angling team of the year and win something not yet determined and must fish all four tournaments.

To qualify for the Provincial Title I believe you have to be in the top 30%.

I think that it is part of the CFT mercury 1 day series. So it sound like it will be a lot of fun and challenging.

I will see you there JIG

Post by Seaweed »

Well unless I can get some more sponsors it may be a bit rich for me this year... but too bad sounds like it could be fun.

We will see.

Thanks for the info.

I've signed up to fish the Canadian Open Pro-Am on Canada Day weekend. I am really looking forward to it. I hope to learn a lot.
