Portable Ice Fishing Shelter

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'd recommend wax instead of grease.

I agree with Cancatchbass, I have successfully used a hard wax used for waxing cross-country skies (for icy conditions i.e. the hardest wax) to lube the poles. I have also heard of others using candle wax or paraffin.
Well and truly hooked!

Yup, wax is the way to go. If you download the instruction book from the Fish Trap site, it says to use wax.

Brad welcome back dude...

How goes the studies? Missed ya

I bet you are glad that your portable didn't sell with ice fishing right around the corner. I was going to give you a call to see if it was still for sale but I would rather see you out with it this winter around Petrie.

We gotta do some bassin again next year.

Good to hear from you.
